Acorp.co is operated by the Artist Corporations Foundation, a nonprofit organization building economic and political power for creative people. This policy describes how we collect and handle your information.

2. Information We Collect

Account information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and a hashed version of your password. We never store your password in plain text.

Registration data

When you use the A-Corp registration wizard, we collect the information you provide including company name, artistic mission, founding members, governance preferences, and other formation details. This data is stored to provide our services.

Calculator data

Financial data entered into the calculator is processed in your browser and not stored on our servers unless you explicitly save it to your profile.

Analytics

We use Umami, a privacy-focused analytics tool, to understand how people use the site. Umami does not use cookies, does not collect personal information, and all data is anonymized.

3. How We Use Your Data

• To provide and improve our tools and services
• To save your registration and profile information
• To communicate with you about your account or our services
• To conduct research using anonymized, aggregated data about how artists structure their businesses

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in a secure PostgreSQL database hosted by Supabase with encryption at rest and in transit. We use industry-standard security practices including hashed passwords, HTTPS, and secure session management.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your individual data with third parties except:

• When required by law
• With service providers who help us operate the site (hosting, database), bound by confidentiality agreements
• In anonymized, aggregated form for research and advocacy purposes

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Export your data

7. Cookies

We use a session cookie for authentication when you log in. We do not use tracking cookies. Our analytics tool (Umami) is cookie-free.
